April update

Taking time to plan out my week at a local café.

It's been an eventful time here, filled with creativity and inspiration. Here's a peek at what's been happening:

Market Ventures: I had a fantastic time at some new markets in February and March, enjoying the lovely weather and meeting fellow creatives. It was a great opportunity to make connections and share my work with the community.

Illustration Journey: Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a 7-week online illustration course led by the talented Jehane from Jehane Ltd in the UK. It was an enriching experience, and I'm excited to incorporate my new skills into upcoming projects, especially with a granddaughter on the way.

Creative Pursuits: Beyond the studio, I've been keeping active with weekly long walks, Scottish dancing lessons, and regular yoga practice. And of course, there's always time for some alpaca fun—preparing their fleece for winter has been keeping me busy. Knitting a bunny for the impending arrival of our granddaughter and looking at making a Waldorf doll. Has anyone here made one? Would love some tips if you have. I plan on using the alpaca fleece for the needle felting and it looks like I will need to get some supplies from Australia.

Exciting Ventures Ahead: Looking ahead, I'm eager to expand my wholesale clientele and collaborate with a retail client on an exciting project. Stay tuned for more updates on these endeavors.

Fabric Pattern Collection: I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be releasing a small pattern collection for toddler girls, available for pre-order soon. Keep an eye out for details—I can't wait to share these designs with you

Social Media Refresh: I'm shaking things up on social media with weekly quotes, self-care tips, and updates on my year-long creative challenge. Follow along for daily doses of inspiration and creativity.

Mother's Day Gift Box: With Mother's Day approaching in NZ, I've curated a special gift box filled with self-care treats and pretty delights. It's all about embracing simplicity and bringing joy into everyday life. If you're interested, be sure to place your order by May 6th for timely delivery!

As always, I love hearing from you! What are your plans for Mother's Day? I'd love to hear about your traditions or any special ideas you have in mind.
